THE PROCESS

We offer a flexible service and can be involved as much or as little as you need. Although we love being with you on the full journey seeing a project from start to finish.

We offer free initial consultations to all prospective clients. Ideally by meeting you at your property/site, but online video calling is a great alternative. this allows us to get to know you and your project and to explore how our architectural design services can help you.

From this meeting, we put together your wish list/brief and provide you with a detailed quotation. We love fixed fees in the majority of circumstances, so you know the costs upfront and won’t receive any unexpected bills from us.

INITIAL MEETNG

Hopefully, you will bring us on board to bring your ideas to life. To begin we will visit your property/site to carry out a full measured survey of the property.

A full set of existing drawings will be produced to allow the scheme to develop.

SURVEY
 

This stage sees the development of sketch schemes that provide solutions to fulfill your project requirements. We take on board your ideas and also investigate alternatives that may not have been considered fore a full and rounded discussion.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Once we have a scheme that you love we will then prepare the necessary drawings and documents required for a planning application.

 

This is the start of the formal process, we want this to be as stress-free as possible for you, so we can submit and manage this application on your behalf until a decision is issued.

PLANNING PERMISSION

When planning permission has been granted it’s time to move the project forward to the detailed design stage. This is where things start to get serious and where some of the big decisions are made.

This stage involves developing the design on a technical level, with the preparation of

building control drawings for approval. Again so as to take the pressure off you, we can submit and manage this application on your behalf until an approval is issued.

We will liaise with other specialist consultants such as Structural Engineers as required throughout this process.

BUILDING CONTROL

Now you have your complete design you will want to get things moving and your project built.

We can further help you through this stage to include preparation of tender documents, further details, selection/appointment of contractors.

We always recommend a contract being entered into with builders to protect your investment. We can act as contract Administrator to administrate the contract, through regular site visits to monitor the progress of work, valuations and final snagging at completion.
